Brethren
- this morning at 10:20 Mrs. Judith
"Judy" Purdie went to be with our
Lord. It was providential that we were able to
visit with Judy for the last time just a week
ago. Mom's ministry to Judy is now ended,
"But
I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren,
concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow
not, even as others which have no
hope. For if we
believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so
them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring
with Him. For this we say unto you by the word
of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain
unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent
them which are asleep. For the Lord Himself
shall descend from Heaven with a shout, with the
voice of the archangel, and with the trump of
God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
Then we which are alive and remain shall be
caught up together with them in the clouds, to
meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever
be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another
with these words. I Thessalonians 4:13-18.
"Precious
in the sight of the LORD is the death
of His saints." Psalm 116:15.
"As for me, I will behold Thy face in
righteousness: I shall be satisfied, when I
awake, with Thy likeness." Psalm 17:15
MY SAVIOR FIRST OF ALL
When
my life work is ended, and I cross the swelling
tide,
When the bright and glorious morning I shall
see;
I shall know my Redeemer when I reach the other
side,
And His smile will be the first to welcome me.
Oh,
the soul thrilling rapture when I view His
blessed face,
And the luster of His kindly beaming eye;
How my full heart will praise Him for the mercy,
love and grace,
That prepare for me a mansion in the sky.
Oh,
the dear ones in glory, how they beckon me to
come,
And our parting at the river I recall;
To the sweet vales of Eden they will sing my
welcome home;
But I long to meet my Savior first of all.
Through
the gates to the city in a robe of spotless
white,
He will lead me where no tears will ever fall;
In the glad song of ages I shall mingle with
delight;
But I long to meet my Savior first of all.
I
shall know Him, I shall know Him,
And redeemed by His side I shall stand,
I shall know Him, I shall know Him,
By the print of the nails in His hand.
That
I may know Him, and the power of His resurrection,
and the fellowship of His sufferings, being made
conformable unto His death; If by any means I
might attain unto the resurrection of the dead.
Philippians 3:10-11.
Farewell
for a moment dear sister.
