Preaching and Teaching The Doctrines of God's Sovereign Grace

We are 'Trinitarian' believing in God the Father, God the Son--our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and God the Holy Spirit as our blessed daily comforter and guide in life. These three are one. (Matt. 28:19-20, I John 5:7)

We are 'Reformed' following the scriptural exhortation of Romans 12:1-2 "be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God."  All theology has as its ultimate goal that we might live to the glory of God. All doctrine is to result in the proper kind of Christian duty, that will affect our service to bring honor to our Lord and His kingdom’s work.  (Rom. 13:8-14)

We are 'Baptistic' in nature demonstrating the scriptural methods and practices of the Church of Jesus Christ as found throughout the entire New Testament.  (Rom. 6:1-9)

We are a 'Church', an assembly of baptized believers in our Lord Jesus Christ, saints of God, congregating together to worship and glorify Him in daily life and practice.  (Acts 2:41-47)

Our Doctrinal Statement And Practice

We hold to the basic, historic precepts of the faith as outlined in the London Baptist Confession of Faith of 1689. We find our closest fellowship with other like-minded churches that call themselves Reformed Baptists. We take seriously our profession of faith, and invite all who have a teachable spirit and who seek to honor our Lord Jesus Christ with their lives to worship and fellowship with us.

We open our worship services with a "Call To Worship" using a text of scripture with challenging exhortations and admonishments. We continually hold forth the Word of Life, as found in the Holy Scriptures. We follow the Commission of our Lord, therefore, our only mission is to build up the body of our Lord Jesus Christ, our risen Savior, by expositional preaching of the truths found in His Word, and living out our faith each day in order to transform the culture in which we live. (Matt. 5:13-16)  For personal edification, please read the book Justification and Regeneration by Charles Leiter.

We desire to see each member and visitor grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. We worship in spirit and in truth by singing only theologically sound hymns of the faith in praise unto our great, eternal and majestic God of Heaven and our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. We also engage in responsive readings of the holy scriptures each Sabbath Day to honor our God and be edified and encouraged in His Word.

We find the Authorized 1611 King James Version of the Scripture to be the most accurate, sound and complete Bible of all available English translations! Therefore, we love and use this divinely-inspired and preserved text (Psalm 12:6-7) in all faith and practice and godliness. We “preach the Word, being instant in season, out of season; reproving, rebuking, exhorting with all longsuffering" as commanded by scripture.  For since the days of the apostles until now, many will not endure sound doctrine, and have turned away from the faith that was once delivered unto the saints.

Our assembly eagerly supports both home and foreign missions following our Lord’s Great Commission.

We hold to our Lord's great commission of believer's baptism by immersion in water as entrance into His church. We also remember our Lord's death in Holy Communion once each month after our Wednesday Evening Prayer and Bible Study.  Our congregation solemnly takes the bread and cup, remembering in the present, what Christ accomplished on the cross in the past on our behalf to atone for our sins.  We look forward to supping with our Lord in the future in His Heavenly Kingdom, as He promised His saints. “For I say unto you, I will not any more eat thereof, until it be fulfilled in the kingdom of God”. Luke 22:16.

We believe in the personal return of our Lord Jesus Christ in flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God and that obey not the gospel.  This coming was pre-figured in some measure in Christ’s judgment coming in AD 70 upon Jerusalem.  We believe that Christ is not only the Creator but also the final Judge that will hold every person accountable for their life on earth, and their personal relationship with Christ. Their resurrected bodies will be prepared for eternal blessedness in Heaven or eternal punishment with all the wicked in Hell.

For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light.
